Tattoo Machine Set – The All In One Solution For Tattoo Artists

If you have ever thought about becoming a tattoo artist, you are not alone. Being a tattoo artist is one profession that is needed and wanted in every town, city, state and country no matter where you live. The money to be made as a tattoo artist can be as large as your imagination and actual artistic tattooing ability.

So How Do I Become A Tattoo Artist?

Depending on your artistic ability this can go a few ways. If you are capable of creating your own flash art as well as a creative side to develop designs you are a step ahead of most. You could also be someone who doesn’t have a full artistic ability who will need to take classes in drawing and artistic concepts.

There are plenty of tattoo artists who feel that if you haven’t been in the tattoo industry for 10+ years that you are still in the apprentice phase of the game BUT don’t let that discourage you. Just because one tattoo artist has their nose up in the air about themselves doesn’t mean that you will be working in THEIR tattoo shop so don’t let that phase you in the least.

Plenty of the well known tattoo artists started by tattooing on themselves as well as on their family and friends. This is a great way to get your portfolio built but isn’t something to simply jump into. Doing solid research online on tattoo concepts and methods of how to properly tattoo with various needles is very important. Learning depth and speed of the needles is also a very important technique that must be learned to become a successful tattoo artist.

Where Do I Get Tattoo Supplies?

If you are brand new to tattooing there are a few things that are mandatory to start tattooing even if it is on yourself. I would personally suggest checking out starter tattoo kits because everything a beginning tattoo artist will be included in the kit itself.

If possible you want to have at least 2 tattoo machines so you can have a liner and shader setup. Many tattoo artists will have 3+ tattoo machine setups so they don’t have to retune the machines between tattoo appointments. You also might want to get a few sets of flash so that you can have those ready for your portfolio and those tattoo clients who are not sure of what they want. You can locate tattoo flash at the link shown in the author box below this article as well.

How To Get Tattoo Clients?

If you are just beginning I would suggest either working on yourself, fake skin or a trusting friend. You never want to tell people that you are more qualified than you actually are and could end up ruining your reputation before it even begins. Once you have a few tattoos under your belt there are plenty of sources to locate possible clients but one of the best forms is online through social networks.

Another great method is by designing business cards and leaving them at your local head shops, record stores and anywhere that allows bulletin board postings. If you haven’t searched online you can locate plenty of tattoo forums where you can post your contact information as a signature so that everytime you post people can see it. Building a tattoo artist website would also be beneficial which you could then submit to search engines to get quality traffic and possible clients.

Now that you have all the basics down don’t forget to check out the site in the author box so that you can locate thousands of tattoo suppliers products at the lowest prices possible.
